Lay School 2012-2013
“The Book of Faith Meets the Missional Church" How do Lutheran congregations, households and individuals, become missional outposts in their own communities as well as the world? Sign up for a new year of sessions from in the NW Synod of Wisconsin’s Lay School of Ministry, presented at Trinity via Skype.
The nine-session course will feature some of the Lutheran church’s leading theorists and practitioners. We’ll look at key missional biblical documents, and discuss how to get practical and local – creating “missional outposts” in our own communities.
Session dates for the 2012-2013 program year are: Sept. 14-15, Oct. 12-13, Nov. 9-10, Dec. 7-8, Jan. 11-12, Feb. 8-9, March 8-9, April 12-13, and May 10-11. The Lay School meets Fridays from 7-9 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30-12 noon.
Only Trinity Lutheran will receive these programs via online stream. This is a blue ribbon group. The cost is $150 per person or $200 per household for all nine programs - about 54 hours of high-quality theological education. Enrollment forms will be available soon.
