Weddings |
Marriage is a gift of God and it is intended for the mutual joy and enrichment of those who enter into this covenant. In Genesis 2, we hear God say that it is not good for humans to be alone, so God made us to be in relationship with one another. Jesus affirmed the covenant of marriage in the Gospels and gave himself as an example of perfect love. As two people come together to join themselves to each other, the vows that they make are made publically so that their covenant with one another becomes publically accountable and can be protected and sustained by the community. As a part of preparation for marriage, a series of pre-marital counseling sessions with one of the Pastors is required for the enrichment of the relationship of those wishing to be married.
