There will be a Youth Auction and Meal this Sunday, May 4, after the 11 a.m. service. We’ll start off with a meal in the Fellowship Hall, as we welcome some new members to Trinity.  You won’t want to miss the chance to enjoy the food and fellowship – all for a donation to the youth trip. Then the youth will be auctioned off to the highest bidders for a variety of odd jobs so get your ideas for lawn work, spring cleaning, organizing, baby-sitting, dog washing or whatever ready! If you cannot be here to bid on a youth, please call the church and give us your job request and bid.
And then they will have a RUMMAGE SALE Friday, May 30, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, May 31, from 8 a.m.-12 noon., also in the Fellowship Hall.  We’d love to have more volunteers involved with the youth so please look for sign up sheets in the narthex, or contact the church office, Norma Olson or Kim Schmidt.  We welcome all kinds of rummage/garage sale items, especially children’s clothing and shoes, toys, furniture, household items, dishes and glassware, small appliances, sporting goods, linens and bedding, decorations, music, etc.  But please no adult clothing except t-shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, coats and sweaters. You can bring donated items to the church starting May 21.  Please DO NOT bring anything before this date as we do not have storage space.
The 2008 Lawrence Dining Card is Still Available as a fund raiser for the youth group. Cost is $15 each, and the youth group gets $10 for each card sold, which is tax-deductible for you. Tell your friends! The youth are selling these Sunday in the narthex or come by the church office to get one. This makes a great gift, with even better restaurant selections this year, including Johnny’s, Aladdin Café, Ten, Scarlet Orchid, Paisano’s, Bambino’s, Zig & Mac’s, Global Café, Wheatfield’s, Marisco’s, JB Stout’s, HyVee Chinese & Italian express, Genovese, LaParilla, Zen Zero, The Merc, Ingredient, HH Bar & Grill, Set ‘em Up Jack’s, Pachamama’s, Local Burger, 23rd St. Brewery, WA Restaurant, Bigg’s BBQ and Thai House Cuisine.
